A key piece of our free web hosting MySQL cluster went offline this morning as a result of a hardware issue. We are working to get MySQL online for our free hosting users, and will update this as we make progress.
This MySQL issue resulted in some free hosting account signups and pending actions in our free hosting account panel to not execute properly. Please resubmit these requests.
*This has been resolved*
I’m tentatively declaring Chopin online. There may be a few tweaks we have to do but for the most part it should be back online and working now. Tomorrow MySQL will be moved over to the remote server which will cause 5-10 minutes of downtime for MySQL only. An update will be posted when this happens.
Because many support threads were related to the downtime on Chopin they will all be closed. If you still have issues now please re-open your thread or start a new one.
The transfers are finished, it is now running through one more time to make sure that no accounts were missed. This should take about 15 minutes unless it has to transfer a few that got skipped for one reason or another. Once this is done and I’m confident the server is all set I’ll make one final post. After the next post you can expect your sites to be back online.
We will be wrapping up the transfers and maintenance on Chopin over the next two to three hours. After this time apache should be back online and serving pages as normal. There may be some outdated page, databases, etc… If you find yourself with missing data after everything is back online please open a ticket so we can copy it over.
